<metadataxml><transcription>MEER, Clarice CLARICE SYLVIA ARBETTER MEER, age 100, a longtime resident of Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 15, 2015, in Austin, Texas. She was born July 14, 1915, in San Antonio, Texas, to Carrie Morrison Arbetter and Isador Arbetter. Clarice graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Incarnate Word College in San Antonio. Upon her marriage to Julian Milton Meer on October 1, 1940, she moved to Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and, in 1947, to Dallas, where Clarice was a member of Temple Emanu-El for over sixty years. She owned and operated Town and Country Preschool and Kindergarten for twenty five years. Clarice was an accomplished artist, whose paintings are displayed on the walls of many family members and friends. Clarice received recognition for her twenty years as a volunteer serving the children of the Dallas Public Schools. Most of all, Clarice loved and enjoyed her family, as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Milton Arbetter and Louis Arbetter, of San Antonio; and three sisters, Alleene Arbetter, Eleanor Arbetter Rosson and Rolla Arbetter Raffkind, of San Antonio. Clarice is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Janice Meer and Michael Bodo of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Jeralyn (Jeri) and John Muhich of Austin; her grandchildren, Therese Groves, Katherine Johnston, Elise Howard-Luce, Jimmy Muhich and Andrew Muhich; her great grandchildren, Ely Johnston, Kade Howard, Wyatt Johnston, Mack Howard, Lily Cotter, Lizzy Pelkey, and Ellie Muhich; nephews Barry Rosson, James Rosson, Jerry Rosson, Jay Arbetter, Bob Arbetter, Ronnie Arbetter; and nieces, Ilene Arbetter, Gail Arbetter, Cathy Raffkind Wagner and Susan Raffkind Manning. Clarice's memory is a blessing to all who loved her. Contributions may be donated in her name to a charitable or religious organization of choice.
